Amir Masoud, O.D.

My professional and educational background includes successfully completing a Doctor of Optometry program at MCPHS, complemented by a solid foundation in biology attained through my Bachelor of Science degree from NJIT/Rutgers University.

I earned my undergraduate degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and pursued my optometry education at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

During my tenure in optometry school, I was honored to receive the Leadership Award four consecutive years.

I am proud to be affiliated with esteemed organizations such as the American Optometry Association and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association.

From a young age, I was drawn to the field of optometry and healthcare. My decision was deeply influenced by personal experiences within my family. Several relatives, including my mother, faced challenges with their vision. My mother, in particular, dealt with ocular albinism from a young age, resulting in significant vision impairment. Witnessing her struggles and the limitations in available assistance became a pivotal moment in my life and career path. It fueled my determination to enter the field of optometry, driven by a strong desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges.

I completed my optometry education in May 2024 and currently serve as a doctor resident specializing in neuro-optometry, vision therapy, and pediatrics.

I was born in Alexandria, Egypt, and moved to the United States when I was around 2 years old. I was raised in the busy yet close-knit city of Bayonne, New Jersey, which I proudly consider my hometown.

In my leisure time, I enjoy watching various sports, exploring new culinary experiences, and doing outdoor activities such as hiking, soccer and spike ball.
